I’ve been blogging regularly for business purposes for close to two years. And though it’s a lot of work, it’s also a labor of love. As a former J-school grad, I love being able to pen my own stuff. . . so to speak.
And it’s the mixture of media forms that should make blogging so appealing to companies, large and small. In addition to having your own platform for expressing ideas and learnings in text, blogging also intertwines video perfectly, along with other dynamic content. I will often add a video element to my work blog posts to add a bit of texture to them.
Providing consistent high-quality content while also giving your readers something new to look at it will give you an advantage. Integrating video will keep readers and viewers on your site longer and make them more familiar with your personality. After all, that’s where blogging is a huge differentiator over other marketing efforts.
As this post is supposed to be about video and blogging, it would be neglectful of me not to include an embedded video of the Bee Gees’ romantic hit, “How deep is your love.”
Enjoy.

Chuck you and your corporate burlesque. Those journalism classes pay off in your blog titles and hooks. Maybe you should have studied music history though to upgrade your tastes.
