Each week we select one video as a Candi Nominee out of all videos produced by our Candidio Producers. This week’s video is by FlexPAC. In the video, we meet the team behind FlexPAC.
We asked FlexPAC a few questions about producing this video. Here’s what they had to say.
Q) What was the purpose of this video?
A) The initial purpose of the video was to introduce our rebrand to the staff. After seeing the finished product I realized this could be utilized in a customer facing manner also. Whether internally or externally we wanted our audience to connect with the people and brand of FlexPAC after viewing this video because as a distributor that’s our main differentiator.
Q) What was your favorite part about producing this video?
A) Having the opportunity to visit all 3 of our locations (Indianapolis, Elkhart, Quad Cities) to connect with fellow employees I only interact with on a computer was my favorite part of filming this. It was great to see how each of our locations is different and include everyone in on our rebranding efforts, not just the headquarters or executive staff.
Q) What did you learn from producing this video that could help other Candidio Producers?
A) The main takeaway from filming this was to have a backup at all times. At 10 oclock the night before I was to leave for Elkhart (at 5 am) I realized my Flip camera was in my office, 40 minutes away from my house. Without a key to our building I decided to use my phone to film. While the picture quality was the same as the Flip I didnt take into account the weaker microphone or the orientation of the camera. As you can tell in the video there are 3 people whose shot is in portrait as opposed to landscape or full screen. Their audio is also weaker than the other shots. I encourage Candidio Producers and anyone wanting to do online video to shoot with their phone but ensure you are close enough to your subject to get good audio and do a test shot so you can see what the orientation of the finished shot will be.

Thanks for featuring us as a Candi nominee. Your team did a great job editing my footage and bringing together the FlexPAC brand.
