This Week’s WOW at The Children’s Museum | Indianapolis, Indiana

We can’t express enough how proud we are of The Children’s Museum for realizing how much amazing video content they can share with the world!

This Week’s WOW is a web series that shows off an amazing feature of the museum in every episode.  A little education, a little goofiness and a lot of WOW will keep fans of The Children’s Museum checking in for new episodes and sharing them with their friends and family.

In the very first episode, Josh and Mookie take you behind-the-scenes in Dinosphere to show you how the thunderstorm is made.  Josh and Mookie were amazing talent to work with; they were fun, flexible and knowledgeable to boot.  Check out the episode below and be sure to “like” The Children’s Museum facebook page to keep up with future episodes as well.  After you watch the episode, read below for some of our favorite “behind the scenes” moments.

Okay so, some of our favorite moments from this episode’s shoot -

  • We did several takes for the WOW flash cuts and every time Mookie would say something random at the end like badgers, Josh’s hair and, of course, water fountains.
  • At first, we weren’t sure about having Mookie say “Not mine” instead of his actual name at the beginning, but it was so goofy we just couldn’t let it go.
  • Speeding up Mookie’s “drop science” moment was a tough decision, but in the end we felt that saving the extra time and adding a little more humor was worth it.
  • Oh, and just the simple fact that Mookie said “allow me to drop science” was pretty hilarious.
  • Finally, the thunderstorm truly was a lot of fun to watch and shoot; if you haven’t been to check it out, you really should visit soon.

Be sure to check out The Children’s Museum blog and get a behind the scenes scoop from Josh and Mookie too!  And, of course, keep your eyes on our reality series Media for Hire for a little glimpse of what happens when Zach and I end up in a museum after it closes!
