In this episode, we used a green screen and semi-well thought out placement. Before I continue, make sure you’ve seen the latest episode…
Rocky and I were thinking about how we could include some special effect in this weeks episode, so I said “wouldn’t it be funny if we used the green screen and added us into the Social Media Breakfast?” – naturally my idea was brilliant, so we decided to implement it into the episode. If you don’t know what Social Media Breakfast is:
The Social Media Breakfast was founded by Bryan Person in August 2007 as an event where social media experts and newbies alike come together to eat, meet, share, and learn. Marketers, PR pros, entrepreneurs, bloggers, podcasters, new-media fanatics, and online social networkers are all welcome to attend.
At this time, I’d like to clear up some pre-conceived ideas people may have about Media for Hire. The idea of using a green screen for this episode was thought of about three days before the launch of the episode. We did our filming two days before the launch of the episode. The actual finished episode wasn’t ready until late the night before of the launch.
The reason I’m bringing this is up is because I want people to know we rarely plan our episodes weeks in advance, Media for Hire is and (I hope) will always be about what’s real in our work day. I know, I know… Rocky flying out the window in a chair and a policeman pulling us over for going .5 mph over the speed limit is fake, but making cool videos and effects IS part of what Rocky and I do at 12 Stars.
Look forward to our next episode, it should be very “explosive”.
